The 457th Bomb in WW2
Officers and enlisted men of the 457th Bomb group were stationed at RAF Glatton, the wartime name for Conington Airfield where B17 Flying Fortress aircraft flew from, to complete bombing missions over France and Germany in WW2 as part of the Eighth Air Force Allied Forces in Europe.

In 2020 we remembered the servicemen of the 457th Bomb Group on the 75th anniversary of the first mission flown by the 457th Bombardment Group on February 21st 1944.
